Remote Reporting:
STARR Professional can deliver the reports straight to your doorstep, i.e. your email box, using any standard SMTP / POP Internet email account or to your administration PC directly over you Local Area Network (LAN). With the help of the STARR "tags" (e. g. <PC>, <USER>, <DATE>, <TIME> ) the reports can be sorted according to your criterias.
1. Enter HOW you want the reports to be delivered:
No reports sent
Sent via Email <= Click for Details
Save via LAN <= Click for Details
2. Decide WHAT kind of report you want (Change selection on the dashboard) and if you want to include screenshots with your report. Screenshot are available in the interactive HTML report as well as with the STARR log file (the raw data).
If you include screenshots in your report, the report file is automatically zip compressed. This reduces its size for more than 90%.You can use any standard ZIP utility to unzip the log file again once received. Background information: When you select STARR log delivery you will receive two files: One containing the the text report (e. g. slog.sys) and one containing the screenshots (e. g. slog.sysz). The name for screenshot file is always "text file name" + "z". To view the content of the files select the path to the text file as input for STARR Commander (How to do this ?). The screenshot file is automatically read as well.
3. Decide WHEN you want the reports to be emailed. You can select a size criteria (e. g. every 2 hours) or email the reports once they reached a certainsize.
